What clients ask before an audit
What is a security audit, in practice?
It is an assessment of your real exposure. We walk the site, observe access points, people and vehicle flows, lighting, installed equipment and the procedures actually followed — not the ones on paper. We then compare that picture with the threats that are plausible for your business and location.
How long does an audit take?
One to three days on site for most organisations, depending on size, number of access points and teams to meet. The report is delivered within ten working days. Multi-site or industrial facilities require more, and the quotation states this upfront.
What does the report contain?
Observed vulnerabilities, ranked by severity and ease of exploitation, followed by costed and prioritised recommendations: what must be fixed now, what can wait for the next budget. Each finding rests on a dated observation, not a generality. The report is written to be presented to a board, not only to a technical manager.
Does the audit interrupt operations?
No. The audit is carried out during normal operations, and that is preferable: an organisation observed at a standstill does not reveal its habits. Our auditors adapt to your hours, including nights and weekends when that is the period that matters for your exposure.
How often should it be repeated?
Every two to three years for a stable site, and sooner whenever something changes: relocation, extension, new activity, an incident, or significant turnover among security staff. An audit describes a situation at a point in time; it ages with it.
How does it differ from a safety audit?
Security deals with intentional acts: intrusion, theft, malicious damage, assault. Safety deals with accidental risk: fire, workplace accidents, technical failure. The two overlap on the ground, but neither the threats nor the countermeasures are the same. We carry out both, and the scope of the engagement states which.
Do you work outside Dakar?
Yes, throughout Senegal and West Africa. Remote assignments are scheduled and quoted separately, travel included. We regularly work on industrial, port and mining sites outside the Dakar region.
